Here's a brand new song for you, performed in our living room with the help of our dear friend Lukas Borsten. Audio is all coming from that one mic in the middle of the shot, and a second ribbon mic on a guitar amp off camera (hence the not-always-ideal balance).
This is an early demo mix of a song that will end up on our next album, and we caught videos of some of the at-home recording takes on Kali's iPhone, which is what you're watching here.

There Is No Mountain is a Portland-based five-piece band led by longtime collaborators Kali Giaritta and Matt Harmon. What began as a high-energy duo has grown into a full ensemble, expanding their intricate, genre-fluid sound while keeping the heart of the project intact: rich vocal harmonies, unexpected musical turns, and a playful blend of psychedelic pop, folk, Americana, world rhythms, and experimental rock.

Known for crafting songs that shift on a dime—from dreamy to driving, delicate to chaotic—the band delivers live performances that feel both tightly composed and joyfully spontaneous. Their unique style has drawn comparisons to everything from the Dirty Projectors and Tune-Yards to the rhythmic edge of world music.

After years of touring nationally, There Is No Mountain now focuses on bringing their dynamic, genre-crossing shows to local audiences in and around Portland. Their second full-length album LUNA (ORG Music) earned critical praise for its adventurous spirit, with Willamette Week calling it “experimental and virtuosic,” and Independent Music News celebrating the band’s “dancey and always catchy” psych-pop.

Always evolving, There Is No Mountain continues to push musical boundaries—bringing big ideas to small stages and connecting with audiences through shared curiosity and sound.
